Kevin was a participant on the 2023 Adult March of the Living program.

He was born in Cape Town, South Africa and at 11 years of age, moved to Sydney with his family. He grew up in Sydney and after getting his BCom from UNSW, he moved to New York in 2000, because as Sinatra said “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere”. He stayed in New York until 2005, having bartended in an Irish pub, leased shopping malls for Westfield and most importantly, marrying Val, the love of his life.

Back in Sydney, Kevin continued leasing shopping malls for Westfield and then joined his family’s steel wholesaling business, Southern Steel in 2006. These days he balances his Strategic role in the family business with overseeing the family’s Industrial Property and Investment portfolios. In his spare time he is also involved with a number of not-for-profits, most actively with Feel the Magic and March of the Living as well as running a boutique coaching business helping founders and professional CEO’s scale their organizations.

 

Kevin and Val have 2 incredible kids, Ari (14) and Lily (11) – he continues to work on his work life balance!
