Many of my paternal and maternal ancestry from Lithuania perished during the Shoah. Since the inception of March of the Living in 1988, I had always vowed that I would take part in the program at some stage.  In 2019 the timing was right, and I was fortunate to go on MOTL with my wife, Michelle.  The experience has honestly been life-changing and has instilled in me, a further desire to give back and contribute to the essential and critical work that MOTL performs, especially with the rise of further antisemitism and hate crimes across the globe.  I have been brought up with an extremely strong sense of Jewish identity, in a traditional, modern Orthodox family.  Unfortunately, with less and less Holocaust Survivors, it is our essential duty to ensure we continue to tell their stories, honour the souls of our dearly departed and keep the flame of the Jewish people burning bright.
