March of the Living
The mission of March of the Living is to challenge participants with two of the most significant events of Jewish history - the Shoah (The Holocaust) and the birth of the State of Israel.

Video Content

This is achieved by offering a unique suite of immersive educational programs that honour, commemorate and explore the past, present, and future of the Jewish people. These programs bring Jewish teenagers and adults to many of the key places where these events took place, in order to understand the world that was destroyed, how Israel was established and most importantly, take away some fundamental learning points about human behaviour. This experience is intensified by sharing it with Holocaust survivors and educators.

The mission is to create memories, leading to a revitalized commitment to Judaism, Israel, the Jewish People and mankind. It will allow Marchers to educate their peers about the Holocaust and to fight those who would deny its history, become active in fighting all other forms of genocide, oppression and hatred, as well as  forging a dynamic link with Israel, with many returning to Israel to strengthen that connection.

The unique mission of the March is to bring together Jews from different countries and cultures, secular and religious, and of every religious affiliation, to share a common Jewish experience. Many of the future world Jewish leadership will have participated in the March, which will strengthen their connection to each other and to Jewish and humanistic values.
